Nightlife Coordinator (Nightlife, Event and Logistics Coordinator)

Become the operational engine behind Budapest's biggest international student events! We are looking for a dynamic Nightlife & Logistics Coordinator to manage warehouse operations, venue transport, on-site execution, and event administration.

Who are we?

Erasmus Life Budapest (ELB) is the premier community for international students arriving in Budapest. From cultural and social events of a few dozen people to monumental parties of thousands, we organize it all. Additionally, we run domestic and international trips, freshman camps, and handle student housing.

What will be your tasks?

You will be the engine of our events and responsible for on-site execution. This position entails significant logistical, operational, and follow-up responsibilities:

  • Warehouse Management: Maintaining the order of the company warehouse, organizing, and ensuring continuous tidiness.
  • Inter-event Logistics: Timely transportation of decorations, technical equipment, and other supplies between venues.
  • On-site Setup and Breakdown: Operational setup of decorations and technical equipment before events, and precise dismantling and packing away at the end of the party.
  • Event Management and Leadership: Coordinating events on-site, managing the cash register and admissions, collaborating with club managers, and quickly and effectively resolving any arising issues.
  • Event Accounting and Administration: Precise ongoing and post-event accounting in Google Sheets (accurate recording of attendee numbers, revenues, and other key data). Handling and accounting for cash, POS terminals, and wristbands.

What do we expect from you? (Requirements)

  • Category "B" driver's license and confident driving skills (essential for transport, occasionally using a van).
  • Good English proficiency (conversational level), as our audience and a segment of our team are international.
  • Strong logistical, problem-solving, and organizational skills – you can see through the chaos and think on your feet on-site.
  • Technical aptitude (you don't need to be a sound engineer, but you shouldn't be intimidated by assembling an installation or plugging in basic equipment).
  • User-level Excel / Google Sheets knowledge (necessary for accurate financial and statistical event accounting).
  • Flexibility and good physical stamina (due to setup/breakdown duties and night shifts).

Advantage (but not a requirement):

  • Previous experience in a similar position (event management, logistics, stagehand, nightlife).
  • IT skills.
